A modern system of utilities such as electricity, domestic water supply and telecommunications creates all conditions for the efficient operation of the port.
In constructing utilities for the port, Ust-Luga Company used state-of-the-art equipment and software.
A single domestic water supply system has been created to supply terminals with drinking water and to conduct bunkering operations. Water is supplied from underground Gdov horizon water wells. The water purification system uses sets of osmosis plants, thus ensuring the highest quality of water supplied.
The port is supplied with power by the Port and Slobodka power substations with a capacity of 174 MVA. The power supply system using Siemens equipment ensures uninterrupted power supply for the port.
The telecommunications system allows to provide all types of modern telecommunications and telematic services in line with international standards. A network of processing units and linear communications facilities has been established throughout the Ust-Luga Port area to provide points of presence in all port terminals.
Communications services are rendered in the port by OJSC Balttelecomport (www.btport.ru), a communications service provider that is a subsidiary of Ust-Luga Company. The total length of OJSC Balttelecomport’s own fiber-optic communication lines exceeds 30 km, and the network bandwidth amounts up to 10 Gbps.
